Dance

Now, a lot of people wouldn't imagine that dance would be related with geography but infact, most dances have been developed to show history, to tell stories and those stories also express the geography of the surrounding area. you still mightn't be convinced but stick around and you'll begin to see where I'm coming from...
Lets start off with the dance that most of us know and a must know for all of those rugby fans. It's a war cry and a fierce one in fact. It's of course; the Haka. For those of you who don't know what the Haka is, its a Maori war cry and It's typically preformed at the start of every rugby match by the New Zealand rugby squad. in the past it was displayed during the battles of the Maori. The Haka has been developed due to the area of which the Kiwis live and in the past the Maori lived. This means that the land that the Maori onced inhabited has now new inhabitants and due to the land, it has connected the people and brought them back to their roots. The land is part of geography so that is where there is the link because there is geography everywhere.
